Began in 1991, the Annies typically honor seven different disciplines: architecture, dance, film and video, literature, music, theater and visual arts.

Winners received engraved golden apples from Orient and Flume for their accomplishments.

Literature — Gerri Miller, Achievement; Dan Barnett, The Buzz Biblio File, Literature Review; Lyon Books, Support of Local Authors.

Theater — Natalie Valencia, Drama ExtraOrdinaire; Chikoko Fashion Art, Innovation in Live Performance; "The Blackbird Sings," Shakespeare in the Park; "Rocky Horror Live," Chico Cabaret.

Visual Arts — Janet Lombardi-Blixt, 2-Dimensional; Cynthia Schildhauer, 2-Dimensional; Chris Cantello, 3-Dimensional;
