Join Avenue 9 Gallery in the opening reception for one of Chico's favorite artists, Dolores Mitchell, featuring iconic scenes of Bidwell Park, bathers at One-Mile, Chico Bungalows, Bidwell Mansion, the Sutter Buttes, Richvale rice fields and the Abbey of New Clairvaux at Vina. Also featuring live music by Tobin Roye, classical guitar.

Description
Avenue 9 Gallery opened with an exhibition "Openings" January 16, 2004. In April 2009, the gallery was transformed into a professional artist guild whose members are excited about exhibiting their art, learning from each other, sharing their knowledge, and solidifying their artistic presence in the community. Major decisions regarding direction, focus, membership, exhibition and event calendar are made collectively. All artists maintain a consistent presence in the gallery and have the opportunity periodically to be featured artist. As a professional organization, the gallery also does community outreach and mounts special exhibitions and group shows and sometimes engages in collaborative programs with other galleries and/or with advanced students at both Chico State University and Butte College.
