The University Art Gallery at CSU, Chico presents Wayne Thiebaud: Works on Paper, an exhibition of over 30 stunning works by acclaimed California artist Wayne Thiebaud. Wayne Thiebaud (b. 1920) is a Californian painter best known for his iconic still lifes of all-American foods and products, such as cakes, pies, sandwiches, cosmetics, and toys. He is also celebrated for his vertiginous San Francisco cityscapes and his richly hued views of Northern California. Thiebaud is considered by many to be one of California's greatest living artists. The Wayne Thiebaud artworks in this exhibition are courtesy of the University Library Gallery at California State University, Sacramento; the Janet Turner Print Museum; and the private collection of Paul J. Zingg.
The University Art Gallery is located in 111 Taylor Hall, California State University Chico. Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10am to 4pm, Saturday and Sunday, noon to 4pm.
