Kathleen Nartuhi"I am a sculptor who works in concrete, steel and stone. Drawing upon a background in ceramics, I am developing a sculptural grammar to express strong, three-dimensional abstract shapes. Simple in form, stone-like in appearance, the pieces command the space surrounding them."

Celtic cairns, 20th century abstract expressionism and contemporary objects, such as computer circuits, inspire these sculptures. "My work explores the complex ties between thoughts and their origin through a simple catalogue of formal expressions."

Anyone drawn to the work of the contemporary Japanese master-sculptor Osamu Noguchi, will enjoy Nartuhi's work, both for its simplicity and elegance.
