Come to the Chico Art Center, Saturday evening Oct. 1 and enjoy the Gala Reception for the Open Studios Art Tour.  At the preview you will get a taste of what to expect when you visit a studio during the two weekends of this great event. You will be able to meet and talk with the artists and plan your tour itinerary.

Studios will be open October 22 and 23 as well as October 29 and 30.  Artists will have their studios ready for your visit from 10 am to 5 pm.  There are open studios in Chico, Paradise and Oroville.  Every artistic media is represented, including painting, fabrics, ceramics, metal, glass, sculpture, printmaking, jewelry, fine furniture, and photography.

The Chico Art Center has been hosting the Open Studios Art Tour for more than 20 years offering a great venue and wonderful people who will involve you in the artistic process and open more than just their studios to all visitors.  You will learn firsthand how art happens.  You can be part of the creative event from start to finish by purchasing a tour guide and visiting many of the open studios.  The reception is the perfect opening for all the Artoberfest activities and an evening not to be missed.
