"Screenplays, Memories, and More” 

Screenwriter, Emily Gallo and memoir author, Eddi Deromedi lead a panel of authors in a spirited discussion on the craft of writing.

Eddi draws from a wellspring of personal and professional experiences.  The passion and candor she brings to her life and work resides in every chapter of her memoir, Not in The Lesson Plan. Eddi was a teacher and a school administrator—a lifetime spent in school. She is currently writing a young adult novel.

 Emily is a full time author who knows all that it takes to persist in the world of screenwriting.  She will share her experiences with seeking representation and working with producers in the ultra-competitive world that is Hollywood. Emily has finished one television pilot and four screen plays, and is currently working on a fifth.

Emily and Eddi lead a writers workshop at the Jesus Center every Wednesday morning. The participants are often homeless or recently out of prison, and struggle with a variety of mental health and substance abuse issues. The first volume, of their writing, The Derelict Voice, has been published.
