Vicki Ward: "Women Writers: Sharing Our Stories and Impacting Our Sociteies"
Sunday, Oct 24
10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Café Flo in Chico
365 E. Sixth Street, Chico, CA
Women hold a unique position in society. We are multifaceted. We are mothers, sisters, aunts, daughters, nurturers and confidants. We are the threads that bind families and communities. When we share what we have learned through writing, we share the priceless gift of our experiences and our knowledge. Vicki Ward has written a practical, comprehensive book for women 50 and over filled with personal testimonies, and vital information to make lifestyle, health and financial plans for their future. It is a book filled with women’s stories as they travel the road to 50 and beyond.
Vicki Ward is the editor of Life’s Spices from Seasoned Sistahs, winner of the Foreword Magazine Book Expo, the Best Anthology from Los Angeles Black Book Expo, and the Bronze Award from the Independent Publishers Association. She is a speaker on women’s empowerment and has presented workshops to American Business Women, UC Berkeley Women of Color Conference, East County’s Conference in Antioch, California and other groups.
Come to Café Flo and listen to Vicki Ward, author of Savvy, Sassy and Bold After 50, talk about the power of women writers and the importance of shared knowledge.
