ASQG began in July, 1981, when a small group of women began meeting at Nuntucket in downtown Chico. In addition to retaining many of those charter members, we have continued to grow by leaps and bounds. There were over 100 members in 1996 and more than 260 in 2004. With membership this large and talented, all things are possible!

Our purpose is to contribute to and encourage the appreciation of quilts and the art of quilt making, and Guild membership is open to anyone with those interests at heart. People of all skill levels of quilting are welcome. ASQG is an education and charitable non-profit organization, so we have several activities that focus on providing comfort to those in need through the donation of quilts and other items. We have our Guild meeting once a month on the first Thursday of the month. Elected officers and committe chairpersons also meet at the monthly Board meeting. The Guild president of 2005-2006 is Cassy LaVigne.
