Chunhong Chang will be highlighted in October. For several years, she has been working on a series called “In Congruence.” This work combines images painted in classical European and Chinese styles. Her main influence are Dutch and European still life painters of the 16th and 17th centuries, and landscape, flower, and bird paintings of the Tong and Sun dynasties. With juxtaposing of eastern and western images, her work involves contrasting techniques and perspective of the natural world. For more information, call (530) 891-0900.
